The One-Punch Man Series Its Third Season Will Continue (In 2027)
Perhaps the most surprising announcement, the much-discussed disaster that was the third season of One-Punch Man proved insufficient to stop further production. Season 3 will be back with a second cour in 2027—so far away they could have labeled it season 4. More surprisingly, animation studio J.C. Staff will continue to be at the helm. Thankfully this time, director Shinpei Nagai is attached to direct from the outset, which might be a positive development. Yet, the promotional image for the second cour is identical to the one used for season 3, just with protagonists Saitama and Garou oriented differently. This leads one to believe that, by now, they must be mocking the fans.
Ruri Dragon Is Set to Be the Premiere Shonen Jump Anime By Kyoto Animation
Kyoto Animation has built a standing for being an prestigious animation studio, making its mark not just for the exceptional quality of its work but for the fair treatment of its employees—a sadly unusual standard in the industry. Curiously, until now, it had not adapted an anime based on a manga published in Shonen Jump, possibly the best-known magazine in the field. Ruri Dragon will change that, and what a excellent choice it is. The manga by Masaoki Shindo gained massive popularity when it first appeared in 2022 after just a few chapters, but then went into a lengthy break due to the mangaka's health issues. When it came back with a more relaxed pace, the series demonstrated it maintained the fans' affection and positive sentiment, and now the community is overjoyed about the upcoming KyoAni adaptation.

It turns out that was just the first cour, because a "sequel" has been confirmed as in development, and it will probably debut in 2026.

Based on the trailer, the anime called Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia will have a distinctly fresh and captivating visual style, which is somewhat reminiscent of Ranking of Kings. Scheduled to launch in July 2026, this one will definitely be on my list of anticipated shows.
