Barcelona Ready for First Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend

Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Basque side in the Spanish league 30 months after they moved out so building work could begin.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. When completed, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.

Recent Activities

Barcelona held an open training session at the Camp Nou on 7 November. Officials stated approval is being pursued from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December at Camp Nou. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
