Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield
A plane transporting Pete Hegseth was required to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was discovered in the plane's windshield, according to an official statement which verified that all passengers were secure.
"The aircraft landed based on standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson said in a online announcement.
He was traveling back from a brief trip to Brussels when the incident occurred.
This event isn't the first time that a United States armed forces jet carrying a high-ranking official has encountered technical problems.
Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane ferrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was compelled to turn back to Washington DC after encountering a mechanical fault.
